The razor gave a better shave than last time I used it, but I am also getting better at both stropping and shaving, so a lot of other variables.
For the total outlay of $1.20 (i had to buy more fabric than I really needed) I think its ok.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Speaking as a textile professional I'd say, "Hrrumph. Well done, sir. I like the pen section to prevent cupping and doubt you'll wear it soon. Probably crack the plastic from pulling on the lanyard before the fabric gets shoddy. I see it being replaced soon with a piece of copper tubing from your still."
I have a little envy for strops with gold-embossed stamping and shiny brass hardware but a strip of leather and a strip of canvas isn't rocket science to nail together. I like the home made jobs."We'll talk, if you like. I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk."

Mines got Shiney brass hardware.... And its riveted together.
.
You are right about the rocket scientist part though.
One of the pen sections was a slightly softer rubberized plastic, though still not bendy, the other is just clear acrylic, so that may well fail. What do you think of the fabric as a stropping medium? And any views on which side to use?
Thanks for the complement by the wayBread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Ed, denim strop? Does this give a better edge than leather and linen? I'm a fabric artist with a closet full to overflow of fabric bought cheap when I worked part time at a fabric store. I lot of denim in there doing nothing and a lot of what looks like linen doing nothing. I already have too many things going but this looks interesting. Talk to me.
