Thread: ARE THESE DOVO PRODUCTS THE SAME THING

Hi I was wondering if the dovo yellow paste and the leather baslm are the same thing in different packaging as the price difference is substansual ( 2 tubes of yellow to 1 tub which is a little over 6 tubes ) Thanks for your help

I have been wondering the same thing. While the tube is relatively much more expensive, I think both are the same. If not, they still are intended to do the same thing: conditioning leather strops without being abrasive. So unless the jar contents somehow run out much faster, I would go with the jar and don't overthink it.

Actually going to melt it down and use 1/4 to make strop paste use powders. Yellow worked well but tub would be cheaper.

I see. I cannot think of a reason why the jar would contain a leather conditioner that is substantially different from the one in the tube and therefore not applicable for your idea.
