    Default Vintage Blades LLC Strops?

    Hey everyone!
I'm new to the world of straight razor shaving (and the forum) and am very excited to get my first razor and strop set! I've done a fair amount of research (or so I think) to start off on the right foot. I have everything I need to start (I've been using the Four Elements of a Perfect Shave for over a year now), minus strop and razor. I have my heart set on the Thiers-Issard Spartacus (I keep reading "if you find a razor you like, get it, since the world over seems to be in short supply") and strop combo from Vintage Blades LLC, but couldn't find anything about the stop itself. Does anyone have any experience with their strops, or suggestions for other strops? I've read good things about SRD strops, and would not consider going with one of their kits as 'settling', SRD just seems to be out of stock with most of their razors. Any and all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

I bought a 3" strop from them a couple of years ago and use it daily. No complaints.

Vintage Blades is an outstanding supplier. The TI Spartacus kit you are looking at includes a very nice strop. I have one of
their latigo strops in my collection and it performs very well and requires very little hand rubbing. If the kit comes with a 2.5" strop I think they would upgrade the kit, for a small charge, if you wanted a 3" strop instead.

SRD's kits and entire strop line represents excellent wet shaving items that I would recommend without reservation. And yes the shortage of straight razors is real but given time supply will balance with demand.

Either of these suppliers are first rate folks to deal with who take their business very seriously.

Thanks for the input! I've decided to go with the Vintage Blade LLC setup. I'll post pics and reviews of both strop and razor after I get them for Christmas. Thanks again!
