Thread: Using leather belt as a strop?

Hey, I know what a Sam Brown is. I use to wear one on the job. That was a hard profession to make both friends and a living at.

As for using a belt as a strop, it is what I used when I was a teenager. I didn't have anything else and where would I have purchased a nice strop in those days anyway. I'd girth it through the buckle over a rung of a ladder back chair, step my foot on the seat and strop away. Things seemed to be so much more simple then.

Get a good quality, well made strop and take care of it.
