    Default Veg Tan Leather Treatment

    Sorry if this has been covered before. I had a little veg tan left over from a knife sheath I made and decided to make a small paddle strop The leather had some imperfections in it so I sanded it smooth. My question is, do I just leave it like that? Or should I put some oil on it? It seems kind of hard and slick with very little draw. Any suggestions?

    Sounds like its personal preference time. I have both napped and slick strops and use both and I would suggest to make the draw and finish dependant on your use requirements.
