    Thanx! When you say draw, you mean added resistance while stroping? Can one add more draw using Neatsfoot oil? Thanx again for any other suggestions-Gearhead222

    In most cases yes until it dries out after time. Usually one or two sparing treatments per year should suffice. YMMV

    However if you are treating the strop and your sole purpose is just to preserve the leather, then you can apply the oil to only the backside of the leather strop, thereby not affecting the front stropping surface. In any case, don't overdo the amount of oil you apply.
