    If you have a spare $300 why not find out, i think an experement (with someone elses equipment) could be in order.

    Sometimes I really hate this place...

    Now my nightly strop progression of wool, linen, silk, #10000, #20000, #50000, #80000 and finishing on unicorn hide seems somehow inadequate.

    They cost so much...every one that owns one,is a scared to nick it...so they just use it as a wall hanging decoration.... Why bother ????....LOL

    Hey you should get one of the frozen unicorn tear hones that are about 1,000,000,000 grit to go with the strop
    To clarify, my strop is a homemade roo leather one.

    Have had several,They are truly world class strops,magnificent construction,leather to die for.
    Used them all,at the end of the day when the blade meets the face,they are no differant than any other Quality strop for a fraction of the Price,JMO
