Thanked: 0WhippedDog Paddle Stop
Does anyone have any reviews or opinions on whippeddogs paddle strop? I'm having a terrible time finding a strop that's beginner friendly but won't need replaced in a few months. Also on a budget so as much as id like to buy Lynn's strop I just can't bring myself to invest in it. Any information would be great Thanks!!

Well I did buy one of those paddles strops from Wipped Dog and it is okay but it is only about 2 1/2 inches wide maybe 2 inches wide and pretty short. It does work good and I think for the price it is okay. I wanted a little bit better of a strop so I did order Lynn's module Paddle strop. All I can say is wow is it worth the extra money. It is a full 3 inches wide and the strop appears to be a little over a foot long sorry I did not measure it. But you can do long full strokes. In my opinion if you can scrounge up the money Lynn module paddle strop is way better and you will be much happier with it.
RogerHave a great shave.

Thanked: 0Thanks Roger,
I went ahead and ordered SRP 3" leather handle strop. It is still on the expensive side but seemed to be fairly priced as well. I like this Model because it has interchangeable leather strap options for when I someday nick it. Plus I figured I could always lay the strap on a table and make a paddle strop. (Sort of).

I'm sure its fine. Larry @ WD is solid. There's also a bench strop if you're on a budget made by our own Glen @ gemstarcustoms. I got one. still using it and am happy I got it.
---Just saw the above post. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. Good pick.Last edited by Siguy; 04-09-2014 at 12:01 AM. Reason: You bought already
