Treasure that linen, it might save you from going to the stones very often. Not that there isn't something enjoyable about going to the stones, but a lot of the vintage linens have the ability to really keep a razor *very* sharp and polished and keep the edge in proper shape more so than just a strop can. They also have the ability to step up some of the more marginal stones, like a lot of the coticules, to a very good level of sharpness and even more smoothness. (hopefully that one is free of contaminants and retains whatever it was originally treated with).
