Richard what type of thread do you use or is it twine of some sort? The leather is 1.5 inches wide I suspect 3-4 stitches would work? I think I'm gonna make another loom from scrap and make it very large. I was thinking 2.5x14 inches for stropping area. Hopefully it will be easy to find everything I need at Home Depot. If you guys have any other hints or tips about making a loom strop I would really appreciate them. I'll try to take pics of me constructing one from scratch and write up a tutorial since I have not found any and the next fellow like me will have some foundation to work off of.

Addition: Richard have you ever considered using a stapler to make your pilot holes? The original leather was actually stapled and then an adhesive strip was added. I figure I staple the leather together then remove each staple and replace them with thread. What do you think?

Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!
