    Default A package from Scrupleworks

Just received a package in the Post from Torolf, the proprietor of Scrupleworks, today.

I was very happy to open the package to find the strop I ordered, with the secondary linen component for my Kanayama #3 "Fine Stars." Torolf's workmanship is impeccable, and I was very pleased to see both items trimmed in fine embossed leather .... A very nice touch that adds a touch of class!

I'm currently enamored with Barber's ends, this example in the extra long length I prefer, and I was not disappointed..

The Natural Linen second component makes a fine strop like the #3 even better, and Torolf's Vegetable Tanned horsehide is a dream to strop on, the draw is, for my tastes, perfection!

I'll be using the Scrupleworks strop for the forseeable future until thoroughly broken in.

    Druid,

I have the Torolf 2.5 oil tanned in the barber style and it is an exquisite strop, from workmanship to stropping results. Indeed, Torolf is a fine artist and puts much care in his work. I am most pleased with my strop, and I'm sure you will be with yours. By the way, I prefer the barber style strops without handles. Good stuff.
