Default Dovo Crox paste in tube

How are you suppose to apply the dovo Crox paste that comes in a tube to the linen side of the strop?

Hey Ffkts - unless things have changed, the green paste Dovo sells isn't CrOx. Its considerably more abrasive - I think.

Either way, if you wish to apply it to linen, I would lightly run a "multiple s" pattern down the strop. You really don't need much (Note you can always apply more). Run your blade over it and that's it.

If you want a more "saturated" kind of effect - though not needed, take a moist toothbrush and work it in.

    Hope that helps!

Note that once applied, you are committed. You just can't wash the stuff out/off.

Oh yea...have the Green and the Red Dovo paste.

The Green is for very dull razors (the most aggressive), the Red is for somewhat dull razors, and the Black is the least aggressive of the three. The Black is not crox. The White/Grey Dovo paste is a chalk like paste for the linen side of the strop - I've used this and it's great stuff. The Dovo Yellow is a strop conditioner paste to be used on the leather.
