Thread: Finally got a strop in

Hello all,

With a new razor in I went hunting for a strop and found this at an antique store -



Not quite sure how to go about getting this ready. From what I've been told I have 4 surfaces for stropping. The smooth leather was recommended using strop conditioner. The back of the canvas maybe the chrome. What whould I do with the diamond patterned side of the leather or the opposite side of the canvas?
