Thread: Daily vs. Touch-up Modular Paddle

I have not stropped before, but have ordered the modular paddle in preparation.

From what I have seen I get the impression that before shaving I use the the scrub leather (10x) then follow up with the Premium One (40-60x)

In terms of the felt and spraying it with the .5 diamond spray how often should this be done as I get the impression from reading posts that this is a touch up scheduled type of upkeep and not a daily pre-shave routine.

Any help would be appreciated.

You are on the right track.

Use the .5 diamond (carefully) only when the edge starts dull slightly, to bring it back to sharp. Definitely not daily, how often will depend on how quickly your edge starts to dull.

If it’s your first razor, your shaving/stroping technique (or lack thereof) will have the greatest influence on edge longevity.

And the diamond spray is not for use on your daily strop/linen. A separate surface is need for any spray or Crox. And to be used sparingly.
