Default What Strop for XMAS ($50)?

I have a $50 (or so) budget for a strop. I currently have a vegetable tanned strop. What do you guys recommend...

    Bismarck
    Illinois
    Herold
    American Mountain
    30 Degree

Unless you know of another or can direct me elsewhere, i would love to hear it.

We can delve into types later (russian, latigo, vegetable tanned, etc...)

tony miller, plain vanilla. think they are around 40 or so and far better than any mentioned. I just bought myself a 3 inch fast bridle. best strop I own.

I agree on the Tony Miller plain vanilla strop. It is a well made excellent value AND an excellent strop. You can find it at TheWellShavedGentleman.

And I'll throw in a nice bench strop option. I've got one and it has served(and still does) me well. And you'll save a couple bucks.

There is a pic of the one I bought about 1/2 way down on the "For sale" link I posted. I would hesitate to buy another one. I packs away really nicely for traveling.

Did Glen say if, when he'd be getting more in?

ps-whoops. You were talking about Glen's strop, yes?

Check out the strops made by Scott at the Portland Razor Company. A few dollars above your budget but well worth the price.

Being new at this I am also looking for my first strop. After watching Lynns video what I do know is that I will take his advice and buy one that is 3 inches wide. I found some nice looking ones at Star shaving.
