Yea, a good finisher with paper cushion, if not use with pressure or excessive laps, but not the same.

After hundreds of years, guys are still using Chrome Oxide for a go to paste, probably because it works…so well.

Will calm a harsh edge and add a bit of keenness, if needed.

Any opinions on this stuff? "Green Chromium Oxide 1oz .3 Micron Strop Powder" from StraightRazors.com.

Don’t know that stuff. Ask them.

A lot of the “Chrome Oxide Powder” sold is, rebranded Kremer Pigments.

Just buy direct and know you bought quality. It is more than 10 people will need in a life time, give some to your friends.

That is for buffing, and it is not near pure enough for stropping a finely tuned SR

There is a ton of info about it here on the Forum including MSDS sheets
Yeah, I saw the write ups about it in the forums, and was concerned that it my not work as well for me.

Sorry about that. It's what I have been using did not realize it had been discontinued. I have a bottle and still have about half of it left. I would have more but I experimented with different stropping mediums-leather, linen, balsa.
