Thread: Success with Dr Matt's strop

In another thread, I asked if anyone had used Dr Matt's 'touch-up' strop system.
I had some poor results which were from 'cockpit error'.
Dr Matt suggested that the strop be somewhat taunt, unlike the slack I had used.
I have since done that and brought the edge up, on an acceptable razor, to a level better.
I need to gain more experience, but it looks like it works.

Dr Matt is very helpful sharing his honing knowledge. When I first became interested in honing, I sent him a few emails. He was very quick to answer my questions.
