Default Thiers Issard 3" Paddle Strop

Who has had any experience with this? Which side should be used first? I just purchased this because I finally found one for a decent price also with decent shipping from America. I was not going to get this because I wanted a juchtenleder hanging strop but I couldn't walk away from the price especially because I was only going to get the juchtenleder because it was more affordable. I do not intend to use this strop with paste just one side for rough stropping and the other for finish stropping. I do not know which is which though. There is nowhere to hang my hanger at my girlfriends and I like to keep the English bridle for home. Opinions and comments?

    Thanks.

Perhaps a picture or two might help us. I am afraid my paddle strop experience is limited to SRD's model by Lynn.

Someone will jump in here and give you a hand.

Scratch that, I am getting a refund and going for the Modular SRD Paddle.
