    Default Iron vs Cronium

    Gents,
I want to try one of these on one of my strops.

Maggard Razors Chromium Oxide Paste 0.50 micron

    VS
Maggard Razors Iron Oxide Paste 0.10 micron

I'm assuming the ironOx is finer?

What are the differences and should I get both?

I use both. Iron oxide is finer and I use daily and the chromium oxide, which is a bigger micron, I use once in a while to touch up a razor.

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Iron Oxide (or rust) is very soft. it's used mainly for polishing gold. Chromium is way harder.

I think it could be used every other shave to keep an edge going indefinitely?
