    Default made a new strop

hey srp just thought I'd share this new strop I made .
Ive been straight razoring for a couple of years now , used a bench strop for a long time then made myself a seat belt strop that worked out quite well .
I dont know exactly what type of leather this is (I buy leather scraps in bulk ) but it is very smooth , thick and has a bit of a oil type of finish ?? kinda like a heavy duty belt leather , quite a nice finish . generally I am happy with my sharpening skills but I did notice a deffinate improvement in tree topping hair popping .
I think I will keep the seat belt as it has a nice build up of Thiers Issard strop paste on it and use the leather bare for finishing .
    strop measures 2 1/4 '' wide by 26'' overall .
    hope you like !Name: 3A14A41B-A470-4828-AE82-1BB4E153446E.jpg

I don't like poly webbing myself but the they look like a good job
And if they work that's what counts
Always fun to play with different materials
