    Default Dubl duck no.53

I picked this one up for good deal recently. I'm midway through the process of reconditioning it and it seems promising. Sanded out a couple nicks and now am conditioning it to soften it up. Not sure how white the linen is going to get, it's soaking right now.

Was this considered a good strop in its day? Or just another run of the mill item? Name: uploadfromtaptalk1437871812514.jpg

Looks nice from the pictures, and as mentioned they made quality products. Make sure you post final pictures and your review

Will do. I'll let the linen soak for another day or so and see where it's at. I've got the majority of the dark staining out. I wish I had taken pictures before I started working on it. I often forget to do that.
Luckily, the leather side is good to go now, just gotta keep scrubbing it with my palm every day to break it in like my old c-mon strop.

Be careful with the linen some of them are pasted and soaking and especially scrubbing will remove it. Mine was white but as I cleaned it the paste came out. Just something to look for hope it comes up well

Here it pretty much finished. Truth be told, I finished it a while ago but have just been working on breaking it in again. It's still a bit on the stiff side, but it's also a fairly thick stock of leather.
