First of all, I didn't know SRD sold crayons & why in the h*ll would you write on your strop with a crayon?
Everybody knows that you use coloring books for crayons.
Wal Mart has Back-To-School supplies now & you can get a 24 pack of crayons for .99 cents.
You can get a spray bottle there too,,,,,

And I do believe those .99 cent crayons are safe to eat if you have the urge...

This is a very timely post for me, I want to buy another strop and was thinking about
SRD's "crox crayon" and one of SRD's 3" strops as a joint purchase.
    Let's have more observations/experience/opinions please

Wow the guy in the video seems to know his way around a strop !! Thanks Lynn.
Your vid is why I pasted my entire strop like you did and then saw these guys say they make "X's" (which isn't wrong either) I was like Dang did I mess up? No, I subconsciously remembered Obi-Lynn Kenobi's teachings....

Yeah using just enough may be ideal but using more never hurt either.

No either way will work, but if you put on too much, it just makes a mess and you run the risk of contaminating any other strop connected to the pasted strop. The bottom line is you can always add more, you don’t need too much. Do make sure to wipe the blade clean well, before stropping on plain leather or linen after using Chrome Oxide.

Yea that guy, Lynn has stropped a couple razors, so he knows a thing or two about it.

I would be careful if you are going to make a spray solution because too much water on the hard felt can make the surface uneven ,lumpy.
I found that out from adding water to try and hold some optical powder on to it.
Some spraying of Crox/Diamond spray wont hurt it though.
