    Default TDS strop

    Hiya fellas,

I wanted to give a quick shout out to The Different Scent's strops.
The Old traditional strop is an amazing piece of craftsmanship and a solid high end strop. This is the benchmark for me.

Now they also have another strop, the 1A, a somewhat more budget minded strop and I have been using this exclusively for a while now.
It's my practice strop and has been nicked a LOT, I have sanded the nicks out and those parts still feel solid and perform well, just has a little more draw on those areas.

I just wanted to say that the 1A strop is an outstanding strop with results that leave nothing to be desired, I love mine.
Since I've been abusing the hell out of it, I have a certain affinity for this strop and always will.
It's appearance is not 'high end', the leather shows 'impurities' (I don't really know how to describe it), but it has no adverse affect on the effectiveness of the strop.
The usable part is 350 mm long and 45 mm wide. I have come to like these narrower strops. I also got used to it's length, but I wouldn't mind it being a bit longer.

Unfortunately The Different Scent's strop do not come with a linen component, that's really the only downside IMO.
I use my Dovo linen and the Scrupleworks linen as replacement.

I have practiced and perfected my stropping technique using the 1A, money well spent, that strop will get lot's more usage in the future, my Old Traditional is already jealous, but of course will never be replaced.
