    Default Which to go with?

So I've been doing a lot of reading on different strops and I can't decide which would be best to go with. I have a dovo pearlex on the way and I would like to have a good strop for it? Should I go with a dovo strop? Perhaps one with a handle, or should I get one that is solid that I've seen in so many reviews? I notice there are various price differences when it comes to strops. I would imagine it would be the quality of the leather that you're paying for and I get that. However, does it make that much difference when it comes to stroping?

If you live in the United States I would recommend a strop from Straight Razor Designs. They have hanging strops and modular strops. You can buy replacement leather for both types. This is important because strops are frequently damaged when people are learning to strop.

Another reason to pick SRD over Dovo is that Dovo's strops are too small, sure you can use them but a larger strop is a lot more comfortable.

Well I have no idea where you are, here in Canada I recommend Classic Edge. The strop is very important, however there are good quality strops out there without spending a ton of money. Hanging strops tend to be a little more than bench strops. Either will et the job done. A lot of the time you are paying for more than just the leather, quality of workmanship and the hardware as well as things like stuffed handles. If you are looking at a mid range to high end strop be sure the leather has replacements available, this is only important for your first strop.

I live in San Diego California. I will check our classic edge as well. I think I would like to have a handle one way or another. Thank you as well.
