Thanked: 4828I would expect the cat leather to be very thin. In different parts of China they eat anything that has been domesticated. It seems really awful to us, perhaps that is what people that believe the cow is a sacred animal think when they hear of our diets. As with most things in China very little is wasted. That life is so very different there compared to here is mind boggling to me. It makes me happy to live where I do, both nationally and specifically. My specific location allows me to have my preferred diet, because honestly you city dwellers eat some weird stuff too.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 3795I guess I would say that no one can claim any moral high ground on this unless they are full blown vegan. That said, I'm glad to say that none of my strops came from China.

Thanked: 3228Finally, the perfect match to that singing razor, a howling or whining strop.

Thanked: 1082Horween source there equine leather from France and Quebec where horse meat is consumed. No difference really.
I wouldnt eat dog, cat or horse, but then again, I go to the kebab shop now and then so I daresay I've had all three, more than likely had rat meat too. "salad and chilli sauce sir?"

Thanked: 3228Don't be afraid of horse meat. I had some horse meat sausages at my relatives in Germany years ago. I enjoyed it very much but not the boss when she was told what it was. Didn't help much when I let out whinny every time she tried to take a bite. The devil made me do it cruel as it was.

Have a number of different types of leather strops. But my 'go to' daily strop is made from a military cotton belt that I have pasted. Excellent strop
