    Default New Roo Strop

    Hey all,

I just ordered my first kangaroo strop from srd. I've only ever used Latigo before, so this is new for me. I'm used to just rubbing my palm on it a few times & them getting down to business. Are there any tricks to prepping/breaking in a kangaroo strop? Anything different I should do to keep it healthy?

My current favourite is a home made roo strop. Ugliest thing you ever did see, but works a treat.

I think you would treat it like any other leather. I had the pleasure of stropping with an SRD roo that belonged to a friend. Very fast strop. Real nice stuff. I'd just palm rub if it was mine, like I do with the herd I already have.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I used to have a Roo Strop. It was very nice and different but after every stroke it wanted to punch me in the Labonza.
