Get yourself an SRD Premium II strop. You will not be disappointed. I have the II, III, and IV and favor the II.
What do you like about the Premium II?

It has a lighter draw than the other two Premiums that I own, and gssixgun uses one as well (so that's what sold me). If you can visit the store in person, you ought to test one out to see if it's to your liking. See if you prefer the I or the II. FWIW, I also bought the paddle strop early on but came to prefer the hanging ones over time.

    Gotcha.

My Premium IV seems to be rather light on draw. So I figured I'd go with latigo for heavy draw and better feedback. Then when I probably end up getting a third strop, I can get a feel for how much draw I'd like in the next one. Who knows, I may stick with heavy draw. I do know I get more feedback from the latigo.

I will say this. If I get another SRD strop, this one will have the hard pressed wool felt as the second material. I've already got the poly webbing and the cotton fabric.

What's the draw on the cotton like vs the webbing?

Heavier draw on the cotton, not as "fast" as the webbing. To me a much more pleasurable feel to it

You really need to buy one or two Kanayamas just to reinforce the SAD, along with a razor or two. Do that, and your question will be answered.

I have a Kanayama #70000 as my everyday strop, and it's terrific. I thought I ought to get a back up strop, so I bought a second #70000, then I read about the premium version, the #80000, so for the sake of completion I bought the #80000. My son who is a budding straight razor user, deserved a good start to his shaving exploits, so I bought a Kanayama #50000 with an extra suede piece and gifted it to him, he like his old man is a convert. Did I mention, that I got a tip that prices were going up, so I quickly swooped on another #70000. I think, with my everyday #70000, plus two more #70's and an #80, and a son with a #50000, I might be well qualified to speak of SAD. All true.....

I thought the premiumest (patent pending on that word) version was the 90,000?

Have you got one of those?

Only difference between the #80000 and #90000 is 60mm. The #90000 being longer, by just 6cm. Quality and ratings leave most to agree they are both of the highest quality. Only other difference is the #80000 comes with a black vinyl zip up cover. It is optional on the #90000, add another $23 for a 660mm version..Even I can't justify buying one.....lol

The Kanayama with the handle has fired up my buy "them all" mentality.
