    Yeah I probably shouldn't be to worried. I practice on newspaper for about 20 passes first just to refresh muscle memory, then move onto the strop. Guess I should just suck it up and get a good one if I find that this one is not for every day use.

    I have heard of the leopard print strop, I am so glad they are created with the blood sweat and tears of shavers past lol

    As I have said many times, get some Ballistol to treat all your leather smooth strops. This product was invented by the Germans around WW-1 to clean & lube their guns, clean their leather & protect it also. And so much more go to their web site, ballistol.com & just see what it can do. Great stuff!
