Also consider rubbing with heavy brown paper bag or even clean corrugated cardboard
    to cut through wax...

Also the modern microfiber cloth can clean in unexpectedly good ways.

"There are two different types of microfiber: split and non-split. Non-split is used for
furniture-upholstery material or shirts, but it does not have cleaning properties like
split microfiber. The more splits it has, the more effective as a cleaning towel."

    That's no joke, Nifty.
I discovered those microfiber cloths and it only takes a squirt of any cleaner and they go to work.
Even dry, they do a remarkable job.
No more paper towels, Much better.

Ive been playing with this progressive stropping after honing. Now im not sure if its the amount of stropping im do8ng or if its the different leathers but im finding a sharper, more crisp edge with the many laps. I think i will put this to use more now but only after honing.

Microfiber clothes i have. Wife keeps lots of them around for cleaning. Dont know if tbey are split fiber or what but they sure do great when dusting.
    It's just Sharpening, right?
