    Default Both sides?

Im new to straight razor shaving. I just purchased a 3" leather strop with a black textured material on the back. Do I use both sides when stropping?

I strop 60fabric and 100 leather before every shave, and 30/60 after.
Many strop less, some only leather. It matters most that you strop well. A bad technique will kill an edge fast. Go slow with the razor flat on the strop, spine leading and then roll up onto the spine and then the return trip.

Are you talking a separate other strop or the finish on the back of the leather strop?

Most strops are not designed for using the reverse side however some are. Pictures would help.

I learned (along with other things) I've been mispronouncing Latigo.
