Thanked: 0What is an Outrigger?
I'm thinking of purchasing a Westholme strop and I see that one model has an extra piece of material that looks like suede and is called an Outrigger. Could someone please tell me what purpose this extra piece of material serves?

Thanked: 1082Hi, Welcome to SRP
I believe the outrigger is napped cowhide or horsehide. Like the Kanayama you can use it on its own or as a pre strop for the Shell.
PM krytonsjaw at SRP. Alistair Summers is the maker, he is a very nice man and will explain anything you need to know.Last edited by markbignosekelly; 11-08-2017 at 09:29 PM.
