    Default Paddle Strop

I've never owned a paddle strop. I mounted this (free) piece of leather on a 1/2 inch piece of pattern makers plywood.
I'm not sure how to proceed, would you guys apply cro/ox or just leave it as is?

Freddie, always remember that once a strop has anything like CrOx, Diamond etc applied to it that you can't just remove it, it's pretty much there forever. So if you want a 'Dedicated Strop' then apply whatever you wish. However if you want a day in and day out strop then just leave it plain.

I hope this has been of some help.

Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Can't add to Cuda's advise, but if it isn't too rough I would use the leather with holes for knives and tools. Or threaten unruly children.
