Gabrielcr78 Roo Strop
I was talking with Gabe when I purchased a razor from him about strops. I knew he made them and figured why not? Can you have too many?
Don't ask SWMBO that question though
So I decided that I'd ask him about a Roo Strop. He obliged and when he got the material in he proceeded to make it for me. I ordered it with barbers grips and also added handles incase I didn't prefer them.
Well it arrived Thursday fro Costa Rica, and to be honest, I am just amazed at the quality of the materials and the level of craftsmanship that went into it!!
Here is Gabe's description of the strop and hardware
Mahogany cowhide textured handles and clip...
Silver nickel hardware
Stroppable area 19"x 3"on tan kangaroo leather and red striped cotton webbing...
Optional clips to convert into a barber's as requested
Over all length 28.5 ~ 29 inch with handles, 25 with barbers end.
the Roo.......INCREDIBLE!!!! This is just an amazing and wonderful strop to use. I will be using it as much as my Kanayama. It is just about as fast, and does really smooth the edge if the razor for an extremely nice shave.
Thank you so much Gabe!!!! You sir are a true craftsman and this is just a shining example of it.
And now for your viewing pleasure.......

Like all Roo it is very thin. I can't tell you for sure without my calipers. But I'm estimating it to be 1.5-2mm

Killer looking strop, I have not had the pleasure of using a roo strop yet, but one day would love to add one into the repertoire.
I am very appreciative of all the knowledge and sharing each and everyone has provided me with. Look forward to future endeavors with many of you.
