Default Can a strop be restored?

I have one of my Grandfathers strops. Is this usable or merely a memento.Name: IMG_1609.jpg

I am sure you can restore it. I just finished a similar old strop restoration today. Try this http://straightrazorpalace.com/strop...fyd-saved.html. FYI, Austin

Id say it depends on how bad it has been treated over the years. Folded or lots of cuts or rips or dried out to where its crubbling could cause a no go. But keep it for the memories. It never hurts to try and if its beyond help then its still a keeper. Good luck.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

Get some Ballistol at ballistol.com to treat the leather. Ballistol is also a great CLP & so much more. I use it on all my leather in the house except rough out leather.
