    Default West coast shaving products

    Hi fellows

A member of the french forum Coupe-choux Club received this week a strop from West Coast Shaving online store. A 3" x 18" one.
He was surprised by the packaging: the strop was folded tight twice to enter a small 5 or 6 inches cardboard box. Of course the strop is damaged at the foldings and is useless.
As the return policy of the store is "at your costs and in the original packaging with original seals ", I gave him advice to ask for a new one, properly packed, or a refund without return.

Does anyone know that store? With good or bad fame? First time you hear such a problem or not ?

    Thanks for advices.

West Coast Shaving always seemed to provide excellent service, but it was sold a year or two ago, although I don't know the details. I have only ordered from them once or twice this past year. A few weeks ago I ordered a Proraso ASB that was poorly packed and arrived broken. I didn't get a response from my first email and then a phone message, but did with my second email, and they sent another bottle. Unfortunately, it also wasn't packed properly (the end of the bottle wasn't bubble wrapped and there was little padding in the box) and the neck of the bottle was broken off upon arrival. When I finally received another response, they swore that I was the only person that this has happened to, and assured me that I would receive a third bottle that was properly packed. I'm still waiting, but it's probably too early to have received it. It almost sounds like the people who do their packaging and shipping for them are the problem, and perhaps it will get corrected if there are enough complaints. I'm not nearly as concerned about a relatively inexpensive ASB as I would be a strop.

Just a friendly reminder. The forum is not an adjudicator in these cases & threads will be closed should any vendor bashing occur.
We always recommend a buyer to directly contact the seller with any problems.

So I will advice the buyer to contact the vendor in order to let him improve the shipping service.

    Thanks for information.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I do apologize for the delay in response and for your strop to arrive in those conditions. We will go ahead and issue a refund back into the original form of payment. You will be able to see this refund appear back into your card within 3-5 business days. Let me know if I can assist you with anything else at this time. Have a great day!
