Thanked: 28Who is the manufacturer?
I bought a strop on the ebay, vintage-lite condition, with cotton second part. It is made soundly, but the manufacturer's stamp I did not find. The leather-part design differs from the traditional modular version. I wonder who is the manufacturer and what kind of leather? Latigo?

Thanked: 634First off there is nothing vintage about the strop. All hardware is modern. A vintage strop would have been stitched together. This one is put together with Chicago screws. My guess is some one made it and sold it as vintage. If the leather is good and it works well just enjoy it and don't go crazy trying to find the manufacturer.

Thanked: 28Thank you for response.
The fact is that I'm curious))) Of course this is not a literally vintage strop. That's why I wrote about the "light" version, meaning the condition - pollution, patina on the screws, etc. The screws are here, I just dismantled the strop for maintenance, cleaning with saddle soap and so on. And on the photo I showed the construction of the attachment points. It is different from the SRD, Mount.Mike, Tony Miller. Looks like a factory manufacture, rather than artisan.
Therefore the question arose. Pure interest, not a matter of life and death of course)))Last edited by ShaveAndTravel; 06-10-2018 at 10:45 AM.
