Red face Where to get hardware for making strops

Looking to go to a meetup in Wisconsin at the end of the month and we are going to be making, restoring, and care techniques for strops. Where and what size hardware is needed? I like 2.5” strops, but thinking about making a 3”. Where is somewhere that sells decent leather in 3” size, sold by the foot? I’m looking for D rings and the top hardware hook too. Any assistance would be awesome. I’m not looking to buy premade strops. I have some of those already.

Thanks and look for to your amazing feedback

Gonzo-I don't remember the exact sources, but I've made a few strops, and I recall getting some hardware from a couple of different on-line suppliers that sold horse tack and saddlery components. I got some nice brass Chicago screws from Home Depot as I recall.

Most everything at Razor emporium is all premade strops I do believe. I also thought the hardware was a bit pricey, but don’t have anything to compare it with. Just trying to find more info and such Rolodave
