    humidity should not affect the leather, I would say quite the oposite... maybe the hardware parts on some strops could be affected in a very humid environment, but most strops have hardware that resist humid environments with no issues.
    havig said that, my strops hang in my Office... just no way my wife let me keep that many strops in the bathroom... plus, my razors are also in my office (toddler's safety), so.. the stropping always takes place in the office.

    Mine have always been in a bathroom, no matter where I've moved to, here in Ohio. I'm 50 now, and started with a straight when I was 17

    I've had all the strops that I regularly use are hanging in the bathroom for years.

    I treat all of my strops about every 6 months with a very light coat of Ballistol & they have held up well in my bathroom & also out in my normally unheated knife & razor shop. One of my shell strops hung in a friends woodworking shop for 20 or more years that was in an unheated barn in central Illinois & when treated with Ballistol now looks & strops like a new one.
