    Default Neil Miller Strop

Hello, it has been a while since the forum changes, but glad to see that it persists. I've a strop from the late Neil Miller in Cordovan, wondered if anyone recalls what they sold for? Me PayPal doesn't go back that far, I have a handwritten note with it that says it went for 250 pounds back when ..

Welcome back- I just wanted to say that regardless of what you paid for your Neil Miller Strop that I was fortunate enough to purchase one that he made about 2 weeks before he passed away.

You could offer me One Million Dollars and pay for shipping and I wouldn't even consider selling it. That strop is one of those things that I consider 'Priceless' just like my Great Grandfather's W&B. Neither can be replaced.

My 'Signature' is what his wife ended with when she let us know of his passing'

A nice thing to own. Mine came about as he was pissed at the snakeskin merchants.
One-handle dual-strop. Only one I had seen him do.
Last of the snakeskin, said he!

Neil was a great guy. We had many email chats about materials and strops. He was kind enough to ship me a few things from the UK from a merchant that would not do email. he was just that kind of guy. As I recall the Cordovan strops he made were rather pricey but reflected what quality cordovan really costs. A good shell can easily go well over $200 USD and may yield very little due to the shape.

You both have real prizes there!

Thanks gents - I did find the outlay, realized that it was buried in the Quicken file. He was a character, based on some interactions I had with him.

I still wait for him to step in when someone was wrong but was preaching it as the Gospel Truth with his statement of ---

    RUBBISH!

I never got the chance to buy one from Neil, but I do own a TM strop, and I agree with Roy, I won't part with it. I don't have the time I used to to shave with a straight, mostly quick and dirty with a DE, but my son will have his great great grandfather's razor and a TM strop when the time comes.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

TBH, it seems as Tony Miller is our strop guy. Good stuff!
    Great to have him here.
Need to give him a shout myself...

I need to get a Tony Miller at some point. My wife has noticed the growing number of strops though so I need to find a new storage place before I get anymore. Just two more I would think. . .

Have Razorfeld make you all matching cloth covers that way any new ones will just blend in with the ones you have
