Damn Josh. Plan on needing a lot of them huh? Maybe a secondary for some big project you got going on in the background with horse leather?

Thanked: 315Figured you did with jumping right to horsehide as a primary lol! That would be cool to try some nicer leathers eventually. I'm going to experiment with what I've got right now.
Since it has been difficult doing razor work in my apartment, I was hoping making some strops would be a good project for me. I see a lot of the great projects you guys do and have really wanted something cool I could do on my own. We will see how it goes.- Joshua

Seems there was a bit of a misunderstanding here so a few posts were deleted.

Thanked: 315Old used firehose has been a good learning experience even if it was never going to be a big success. It is interesting working with a material that reacts so differently to moisture than cotton, wool, polyester, etc. Have some ideas I want to try out in the future and possibly post in a separate thread.
Thanks to Euclid for sharing your experience in this area! If I come across an old barber strop I really want to try your leather conditioning and linen stretching process.- Joshua
