    Default Wrinckles on a strop

    Hello guys I hooe you can help

    I have a strop that belonged to my brother, unfortunately it has some areas with wrinckles in it, the wrinkles are not deep but I dont think i can strop a razor with it
    do you think that some sanding in the whole surface will fix it ? please dont ask me to buy another one, this strop looks new but it seems that it was folded

    Hang it with a weight to keep it straight for a couple days. Then use the side of a glass bottle to smooth it out.

    Folding wrinkles. That doesn’t look too bad.

    Let us know how Bill’s treatment works out. I’d like to know for one of my strops.

    Well I see two things. The folds should come out like others have said however the surface wrinkles won't come out. Usually wrinkles like that in leather are fat deposits and they are just part of the leather. Strop leather doesn't have that feature in it.

    I don't know if you can sand it out. Maybe one of our leather experts will come along.
