Merit Strop
A friend gave me this beautiful old 24"x 2 1/2" strop. It needs some TLC but its in pretty good condition as is. I've worked a bit of Bickmore "Bick4" conditioner into the leather and it soaked up fast. I don't want to blow it, so I'm asking, what's my best options for a resto. Thanks Freddie

I'd say a good cleaning with saddle soap, and let dry.
Then start hydrating with a damp rag and neats foot or mink oil, from the backside of the strop.
Let dry, between applications, and test for suppleness.
I've found that if I over hydrate, I can remove a bit of oil with a clean cotton rag, dampened with rubbing alcohol.
YMMV
I do have the matching razor for that, Freddie.
