    Default Interesting Strop

While I was at my brother's memorial party I noticed a couple of vintage strops that were just 'hanging around' on a shelf. Makes me wonder of the age, maker, user etc of one.

The building that the memorial was held in belongs to a couple who were good friends of my brother and I have the email of the wife and I'm thinking about asking if I can purchase the strops. If I remember correctly the one in the picture had a major problem with the leather so if nothing else as a display piece. Name: dunno.gif

Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I don't think it used by actual U.S. Cavalry. Just an advertising name alluding to some perceived quality.
I have seen several. They must be pretty old as all I have seen were toast. Still neat!

Hard to find info on old strop-makers in this country, much less the retailers with their names/slogans upon them.
