I use the term linen very loosely here. I define linen as the medium used that's not leather. It could be cotton, canvas or flax linen. Mine are typically canvas and sometimes cotton. But I typically get great results with whatever linen strop and leather strop (Lucky strike horse hide) that I use. I'm very blessed that I paid attention to what Outback has taught me over the years when it comes to stropping as honing!

I use pasted strop before my regular stropping for blades that are starting to lose their keenness. Well actually some of the time it is s after my regular stropping routine and part of the way into the shave. It's surprising how much it will improve an edge in the middle of a shave.

I find that on the odd occasion i finish on a Naniwa 12k, a round on the Crox seems to smooth the edge a bit.

Balsa in 2 1/2 width, 2 ft long for me. Lightly sanded up and down with 100 a bit. Rub the good powdered stuff in with a finger. Spread it around.
Takes your fingerprints off. Handy!
Lightly wipe off with a towel. Get's better as you go.
CroOx is a good thing. Too much of a good thing is bad.
