I thought learning how to achieve a smooth close shave was satisfying, it's triple that when the razor was honed by myself...and yes...It is so far a very addictive feeling..

Anyway, back to the horsehide. I took a full hollow Fritz Bacht Tennis to the stones last night and once again got a very nice edge. Then I took it to the linen/latigo/horsehide strops. I just can't get over how buttery this horsehide feels. I'm loving it!

I read in the manual that I should be holding the tang between the tips of the forefinger and thumb to better control the light contact with the edge that is recommended. With great difficulty I changed my grip and stopped turning my wrist. This paid off and I don't nick strops anymore .... knocking on wood.

    I have to this approach,thanks
