Thanked: 20HA's Old Dog 830
I got mine a few weeks back and boy is it an awesome strop. Keith is a pleasure to deal with and the stop is my favorite out of 3 that I own and 2 other that I've tried. If time permits on the weekend, I will post a photographic play by play review on the strop. Thanks again Keith!

Thanked: 326I've been wondering about the Chicago Special and the 830 as one is said to be for heavier blades IIRC. Look forward to review Mike!
For those who have both would you kindly post a review? Thanks

I've got a Chi Special ordered. Keith tells me it is great for Sheffield wedges and that hollow grounds only need like 10 round trips.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

My Chicago shipped out 4 days ago.
It's normal to stare out the window in anticipation of the mailman....right?
