A Different Strop Component
A friend of mine works for one of the big time NASCAR racing teams as a mechanic. It occurred to me that the shoulder harness used in pro race cars would make a good fabric strop. I inquired on the availability of the harness and my friend gave me a piece that was older than the rules would allow them to use in a race.
It is 3" wide and is of a heavier material than the stuff in a passenger car. I've stropped a couple of razors with it and it seems to be real good. The outfit that makes it does have a website here and sells to the general public if anyone wants to buy some.... or if you have a friend who works for a NASCAR race team ......Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Lol I have an airline seatbelt that I somehow aquired over the years and it works quite well I would use it more often if it were convenient lol. But when its all said and done I'm a vintage linen guy through and through. You know? That weird treated stuff.
