Not sure you can find them wider. If so I'd bet they were a specialty item and the "fiscal advantage" would be lost.
The guys have posted several sources for leather you can get in any dimension. I never realized it was that easy to get hold of.
I like this method because you can run to a store in town, make 2 cuts with a knife, tie 3 knots and you've got 3 very cheap, perfectly adequate strops. (of course, I may be biased)

Thanked: 1936You sir know your hunting knives. I'll have to check out our local TSC, Atwoods, and Orschelens to see what they have in stock. I'm always looking for some "new" project...now if I could just finish all of them ;-)

Do I smell a spyderco fan?
Only folder I've had was an S30V Native. Liked it, LOVE the VG10 Bill Moran.
It's extremely light, so takes getting use to, but I've not been kind to it and she's done well. It is always on the top of my list to recommend to hunters. Favorite knife, and I've had a ton. (Benchmade, SOG, Kershaw, Spyderco, Case, a D2 handmade....and some day I'll drop the $$$ on a Bark's River)
I think I just my own thread
