Tony Miller is great, and you can get a 'practice' strop along with your Latigo-Cotton/Linen for a very, VERY affordable price. (I'm pretty sure it's still under $10)
This also is a shameless plug for Tony Miller, who has given me no incentives other than the finest customer service and quality product I could ever have dreamed of.

RupRazor Paladin. It is buffed horsehide which for my taste has a little too much draw but after you use it the nap settles down a bit and you get a satiny smooth draw and beautiful finish. I won't look back on it. Can't speak to other strops but Ken's work is great and I think the Filly is Latigo so wherever you buy you might wanna get a Horse/Fabric combo so you can go fabric (linen, nylon, canvas, cotton, etc) to the Filly (latigo) to Horse. Just some thoughts.

I really like (and use) Tony's Horsehide/Genuine Linen and
the SRD Premium I. I'd like to try some more of the SRD
leathers, but I've had an impressive streak of no-shaving
purchases that I don't want to break

I just ordered a 2.5 replacement hosehide from Tony--should work great w/ his linen!
Here's a fun "ultimate stropping idea": TM linen, SRD webbing, SRD buffalo, TM horse.

I've been using a TM latigo and horsehide. Very good quality leather and refines an edge you expect from a properly honed razor.
