I'm not positive, but I think the SRD strop has a swival on the end. The RR Filly has a hole punched in the end and ties with a leather tie to whatever. I have a Filly and like it a lot, but when tied to a towel rack it really can't swival as much as I'd like.

Remember, as a novice you are bound to cut up your first strop, so many people here start out with a Filly and either keep it or graduate to something else. Mine has more than a few cuts in it, but still works well. It also comes with the backside pasted, which is handy.
